What We Collect

If you sign up for email alerts (price drops, gear guides), we store your email address. When you use GearSift, we may store gear list preferences and affiliate click history.

How We Use It

• Price drop emails: If you sign up for price alerts, we send you an email when a watched product's price drops. You can unsubscribe from any email with one click.
• Click tracking: When you click an affiliate link, we record which product was clicked for analytics. This helps us understand what gear people are interested in.
• Analytics: We use Umami, a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics platform to understand site traffic patterns. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personally identifiable information, and all data is stored on our own infrastructure. We track page views, referral sources, device types, and user interactions (such as which products are viewed and which links are clicked) to improve the site experience.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your data to anyone.
• We do not share your email with third parties.
• We do not use third-party tracking pixels, cookies for analytics, or invasive tracking.

Affiliate Links

GearSift contains affiliate links to retailers including Amazon. When you click these links, the retailer may set cookies per their own privacy policy. See our affiliate disclosure for details.

Data Storage

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on private infrastructure. Email delivery is handled by Resend.
